So Linux is trying to kick into the mainstream commercials. Using a theme similar to the "I'm a PC" idea... or something like that.

Not sure I'm all for it... But I am a Linux user and I love this vid.

XD

Grew up fast indeed!

Man I haven't drawn in a while... I managed to stomp this out in 15-20 min in PS2. I even colored, something I hardly do. Just a bit of a warm up before I shower and stomp out a couple more papers for grad school. XP

I'll prolly go back and add depth and shadow later.

Despite how crappy my days have been... this got me laughing out loud.

So my uncle and I are watching this rather elaborate Chinese movie whose name I can't remember at the moment. As we watch we talk about the characters and how messed up the web of interpersonal relationships are. Specifically the character of main actress:

Uncle:...you know she doesn't really fit this role.

Me: How so...? She's played a slut before...

Uncle:... but she's evil. She's usually a nice slut.

And he delivered in a matter-of-fact tone. All I could do was agree and laugh.

Later...

Uncle: Look she even has a evil slut smile...

Priceless moments with my uncle and foreign films.

I can't believe how time has pass so quickly. Practically less than 6 months ago I moved back home to a career job and my family. Its now December and I've been a teacher for 4 months. I try not to think too hard since everything still feels a bit surreal.

Like last weekend, I absolutely love spending time with my younger cousins. Last Sat. my cousin Ash' and her high school basketball team got to scrimmage against the local high school. Let me point out that my cousin goes to my old alum in town and her mother and our aunt both went to the local high school. The local gym is kinda hallow ground, since our aunt made the all-star team for basketball in her high school years. The game sorta runs in the family since I also played in high school too. So I'm sitting in the gym watching Ash play, behind me is her mother and our aunt. I realized that 3 generations from our family that played basketball was sitting in that gym and ambling around my legs is Ash's younger sister, Kemi (1 year old) who might just be the fourth generation to play when she gets older. That was my "whoa" moment this past weekend...

That came to mind as I realized I need to get the girls into shape for this season's girls basketball at the school. Yep I'm coaching. XD

Aside from that, my journal question for my students today is: What happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object?

I'm excited to see the answers.

Oh and I'm at post #100... Hmmm... YAY!

I got choked up in class today. Specifically math class, the lesson that my students are working on involves factoring and prime numbers. Now this is where it got corney... really pathetic type corny. As I was helping one of my students tackle what was to him a rather difficult factoring tree, I realized how much I love my job. My student looked so proud of himself after he managed to get the factoring right and I thought "Shit! Thats my teaching moment of the day."
