The comic book world has lost another great illustrator and story teller.
As a comic book fan, I wasn't deep and heavy into the Marvel or DC universe. I knew enough to get by and not seem completely dumb around my guy friends. My area of interest was in Elfquest, Usagi Yojimbo, independent comics, and... Fathom. These were the graphic novels and comics that inspired me and my passion for illustration and storytelling. So it was a sad day when I recently discovered that Michael Turner the creator of my favorite series Fathom had passed away. I have to say that aside from Wendy Pini, Michael Turner had been a great inspiration in my persuit to be a illustrator and storyteller. His style blew me away, the first time I laid eyes on an issue of Fathom (and yes I know he had to previous work on Witchblade...) I can only hope to be half as brilliant as he was.
Michael Turner... Thank You! And you will be missed...
