Not so long ago I had a really great conversation with a awesome friend of mine that made me realize that I am utterly in denial on how uber-geeky I really am. So I will admit I have my moments...

And this is one of them...

Last night on Gametrailers.com, Bioware released the first official trailer for their "spiritual successor" to the Baldur's Gate Series - Dragon Age: Origins (previously know as just Dragon Age).

If you haven't heard of BioWare let me toss out some names that might sound familiar - MDK2, Jade Empire, Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, and Mass Effect... Now fans such as myself have been waiting for a release date. Last year it was slated for sometime around Oct, but it now has been pushed back to early 2009. (God I hope so... I'm drooling at the bit.)

I don't want to go on and on about this game right now, my friends have heard enough as it is from me. But if you're interested in what could be another ground-breaking game check out the Dragon Age: Origin wiki and there is also a forum, but you might have to dig around for the real meat of the matter. The fans get a bit wild there and so do the developers, so beware. :D

Now I can only eagerly await to see if anything else shows up for DA: Origins in the upcoming E3.
